ABOUT US
Tempe Leadership is a community-driven program that brings like-minded people together to develop informed, connected and empowered leaders who actively help shape Tempe’s future. Through hands-on learning, civic exploration and meaningful relationship-building, participants gain a deeper understanding of the city’s challenges and opportunities.
Class XLI represents the forty-first iteration of this program. Made up of 19 dedicated community leaders, local business owners and corporate professionals, this cohort brings a diverse range of perspectives and expertise. Together, they are committed to strengthening connections, elevating civic engagement and advancing projects that positively impact Tempe’s future.
CLASS PROJECT
After a devastating storm impacted our community, we launched Storm to Shade to rebuild Tempe’s urban forest. By planting a total of 33 new trees at Mitchell and Jaycee Parks, we’re restoring shade, strengthening neighborhoods and cooling our community for the long term.
PROJECT UPDATE
Due to the generosity of our community, we raised $22,743, surpassing our goal of $20,000. In spring 2026, we successfully completed our project by planting 18 trees at Mitchell Park and 15 trees at Jaycee Park. We are incredibly grateful to our supporters and community members for helping make this project possible.
